Sometimes I forget that there are people in my life who need an updated blog post to know what's going on.
Well the only news 'round here is bad news. Just found out I lost my job. Yes. The job I've been leaving my house at 6 a.m. for and arriving back home at 7 p.m. and working every night after I get home and fundraising to buy books for my kids and pouring all my time and energy and every ounce of my soul into.
Yeah.
Low enrollment = 20th day = it's a Chicago Public Schools thing that has happened at least once to lots and lots of people. One of my coworkers reassured me it's happened to him four different times. That doesn't make it hurt any less.
Also I'm at the very bitter end of my savings from my big ole $$$ job I left three years ago to get my education degree so yeah I may lose my apartment also. :(
So there's that.
Sigh.

Well, shit. I'm so sorry. It's an incredibly unfair way of doing things, and it isn't right. Here's hoping for a turnaround very soon.
I have wondered about you! I am very sorry to hear of your recent downs and am sure it will not keep you down for long. Keep grabbing for what you want.
This makes me sad too. I wish I lived closer and could actually do something to help. Like doctor my kids' birth certificates so they could enroll in your class ;)
If I were starting a school, you'd be one of my first hires! (I'm pretty sure my little sister would kill me if I didn't hire her first.) I hope something even better comes along soon!
