I just ordered my first box of books!!!!!!!
Of course my students will start school before the books arrive but that may just add some fanfare to the occasion as my library grows! YAY SO EXCITED!!!
Thank you so much to my most generous friends for helping me out!!!!!!!! I have less than $800 to go to reach my goal!! Do YOU have a spare $5 to provide books for needy Chicago students? I'll love you for it. :)
School started (for teachers) two days ago and it has been a whirlwind so far. Teacher PD days and introductions and common core lectures and all kinds of stuff. Tomorrow we work on unit planning across the grade level and I'm already feeling behind as the sixth grade teachers (from last year) were meeting over the summer... GAAAAHHHHH MUST CATCH UP!!!
