Still no snow.
But the city is getting ready for Christmas even without the white stuff.
Tonight B. (a fellow student) and I regaled each other on the way home with stories of "I've now gotten SO FAT that x..." to the point of hysterical laughter. Our fellow El passengers were disconcerted, to say the least.
We also tried to come up with ways we could have positively evaluated our crappy non-professor*'s performance over these past 15 Thursday nights. "Delegated lecture duties to students" = Totally agree! "Sat silently during 'presentations' that were read pointblank from powerpoints" = Well done! "Gave absolutely no ideas or anecdotal advice from personal experience gained in X years of public school teaching" = Indeed!
This is my SECOND TIME! in grad school (can you ever have too many degrees?) and the first time I'd have to call a class a complete fail--although I do still expect to be receiving an A so at least it's not a fail on that front, right?

*The other section of this class was taught by a professor I completely idolize and love to death and I was SO excited to get to have her again. But there were too many people who hadn't taken it so they had to roll some of us over to a second section last minute and got a grad student to teach it. To grad students. That was very unfortunate for us.
