Well, that's one kind of productivity.

This is not a diptych.

While I have not yet finished either of my two massive final projects due Monday and Tuesday,^ I have quite the list of accomplishments for this day so far:

  • FInished off 1/3 of a box (a real size box, not a mini box) of Oreos.
  • Washed 1/2 the dishes.
  • Waited for 30 minutes while two postal workers took THEIR SWEET TIME finding my package.*
  • Laid on rocks of ice† for 25 minutes while my lunch heated up.
  • Finetuned my final mix CD/playlist for the year 2010, greatly assisted by the two postal workers who took THIRTY MINUTES to find my package.

And last night when I couldn't sleep for the millioneth night in a row, I got out of bed and created this year's christmas postcards (moooooo), which honestly I can't really afford to be buying but I'm already not buying presents for almost anyone and...well, SERIOUSLY, I cannot even describe the inner turmoil the financial inability to be generous to the people I love creates in my heart, my mind, my sensitive tummy, INDEED MY VERY SOUL.

So this summer when I lose my apartment because I can't pay the rent you can remind me how I wasted money on Christmas cards that I couldn't afford in a weak attempt to not feel quite so crappy about life.

And I'll sigh and say "Oh yes. TOTALLY WORTH IT."

^I did have a breakthrough on one big stumbling block about an hour ago so I am feeling in much better shape. Sort of.
*Dear Post Office: THIS IS WHY PEOPLE DON'T LIKE YOU.
†FINE, they were cubes, not rocks. Actually they were chemical cubes connected in a panel. Apparently called an ICE BLANKET. Who knew?!?!

heh. i've gone to the post office, pointed to my package sitting on a table right behind the window agent and then still had to wait a half-hour. she kept insisting that the package couldn't possibly be there and i had to ask for a manager. oy.
