Give me a fucking break.

Item #1:
I'm so fucking sick of the way Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are running their campagains. BOTH of them.

I don't care why you are BETTER THAN the other candidate. RUN ON YOUR OWN MERITS. Forget about them and just tell me why you are the best person for the job. Why YOU are RIGHT and NOT why THEY are WRONG.

Would it be possible for either one of you to turn off your big fucking stupid egos long enough to do that? I have to say that while John Kerry could not either a) beat Bush or b) handle those who suggested that his military service was less than valorous (fucking assholes), I do not remember him spending his ENTIRE campaign harping on other people's supposed weaknesses. (But maybe I just don't remember it. That's such a dark long horrible four years ago.)

And STOP arguing about which one of you has "experience" and which doesn't. Bunch of fucking freshman. Frankly, Barack and Hillary, NEITHER of you has very much fucking experience at all. The only politician I gave any money to this year was just as much a minority as either one of you and had a boatload more experience. And unfortunately for me and the rest of us who are sick of you two bitching and whining, he dropped out a long time ago.

And Item #2:
And you fellow democrats / liberals / leftwingers: please stop this bullshit whining about how if your chosen candidate of the two fuckos doesn't win, you're just going to vote for McCain.

a) Hello. Are you blind, deaf and dumb? Have you not watched McCain kiss Bush's ass for the past four years and bend over backwards and recant almost every stance he had held previously?

and b) If you can't see how ALIKE these two candidates are both 1) in their asshole-ish behavior and 2) in their actual policies then you are deluding yourself.

In Conclusion:
NEITHER is a GREAT candidate. BOTH are DECENT politicians*, usually, not considering their campaign behavior, and EITHER one would be 1000 times better than four more years of warmongering insanity. *Note I said decent "politicians". Not necessarily "people". As decent as a politician could be, given that they both ARE and WANT TO BE politicians.

As Jessica Lee Jernigan says on her blog, I'd vote for a ham sandwich if it was the democratic candidate.

Wake up and smell the fucking political coffee.

  • Not voting because your candidate didn't win the Democratic party = is a vote for McCain.
  • Voting for McCain = is a vote for McCain.
  • A vote for McCain = MEANS FOUR MORE YEARS OF BUSH.

At this point, they are practically one and the same. So fucking wake up already.

The candidates need to stop whining, and the public needs to stop thinking that whining is a legitimate way to run for office. The fact that you agree with one against the other does not make that a honorable form of behavior. Why waste your time bitching that "this candidate is so wrong and s/he said something so wrong and s/he is an asshole". They BOTH are and you going on and on about it makes them think "hey, that's what the people want to hear."

In addendum:
They are BOTH doing it and my six year old nephew has better manners than either one of them AND their spouses combined. And he avoids being a whiny little bitch by taking the occasional afternoon nap. Perhaps their campaign managers can look into it as a strategy.

That is all. Goodnight.

I love it when you go off.

I don't care how much anyone dislikes the "other" democratic candidate, they've got to dislike McCain's views more! I really hope everyone comes together in time and gets their heads out of their a&*es come time to vote. I'm very very scared of what will happen if McCain wins!

Thank you. That was very well said!

I am more frightened by what Nader would do if he won. That's the reason I may vote for him (Nader that is).

I thought your rant was about smelly/insane cab drivers. I see now you've chosen a more weighty subject. I love it when you get fired up.

my dear, well said, well said. you are amazing xxx

Posted by: jessica at April 18, 2008 02:57 AM

Awesome.

To be fair, it's entirely possible that if Romney or Huckabee were still in it on the Rep. side, they'd be at each others necks just as much because you know Darth Rove would be involved and we'd get all sorts of slander and even worse campaign procedure.

Afternoon naps for all! Especially before they try to engage in any more "debates"...

Michelle - true...but they're republicans. I don't give a fuck what they do! :)

I wish more people had guts to talk like this.

Carolyn, you are BACK! I know what you mean, I was so aggravated by both of them that I almost considered voting for Nader. Actually, I like Nader a heck of a lot more than the other two right now but I don't want to take the chance by having the facist side continue on. My husband has been watching Fox News and I have to leave the room. I had my hissy fits over the news but that didn't sway any so I leave the room. A book is better anyway. Building brain power to keep big brother out of my head.

Nice post, I will be voting, it won't be for McCain, or Bush.
