If you love spring storms

then you need to move your slackass to chicago because we are having some truly impressive storms these days. For example, at 8:01 this morning it was bright blue and sunny out, and now a mere hour later, it looks like the apocalypse out there and I had to sacrifice my RedEye to keep my lovely hair from getting soaked*. Ordinarily I would not care of course but since I am one day away from my first REAL haircut (non-"trim") in ages (MONTHS! people, months!), of course my hair looks fucking great. Ain't that always the case - it looks like shit until it's time to cut it and then it turns on the beauteousness. Of fucking course.

So stamps are going up a few cents on May 14. I can't wait to hear the masses a-whinin' and a-groanin' over how it cost them a whole FORTY ONE cents to send a letter. What else can you get for 41 cents? Not motherfucking much, I'll tell you that. Or, as this blogger points out: like my sister once said, 'i couldn't pay my son 39 cents to get him to deliver a letter a block away.' Too funny. I am of course now picturing a post office-clad army of little raggedy boys running around delivering each piece of mail individually. Hilarious. p.s. I found that fun blog from a link over at this fun blog. Just runnin' around the blog circles. Oh the joy of wasted time.

And FYI early-bird Lollapalooza tickets went on sale today. Already got mine. Got yours? Go!

*And now no sign of storms whatsoever, not sunny, but bright comparatively.

It is, indeed, a law of the universe that your hair looks great the day before you cut it. Just like how your car always makes that awful noise until the day you take it into the mechanic and it then purrs like a kitten...

you got a real cut? no more long hair?

I'm different--my hair looks like complete crap right before I have it cut. Partly because I don't wash it for at least two days prior. then I walk out of the salon looking fucking fabulous. 'sworth it.

I hardly even use stamps anymore, so I don't really care. Plus, they're coming out with Star Wars stamps, so I'm good.

I can't remember the last time I even used a stamp, never mind bought one. It's all electronic all the time around here.
