There's just nothing bad to be said about a Shamrock Shake. Yummmm-eeee!

Other than that, the only effect St. Patrick's Day had on my life was to make it damn nigh impossible to get a cab to our restaurant on Saturday night, causing much freezing of ears and swearing of mouth.

Thankfully I had something to keep my hands warm:

Yes, I was the very lucky recipient of anemois knit by Ms. Carrieoke herself. What a schmoo!!! (My friends rock!!!)

I've done a ton of random stuff in the past five days, but since I haven't written any of it up on Snip yet, I feel like I can't tell you about it. I can't be unfaithful to my own site! Ha ha ha ha ha :) If you know where to look, you can at least find the basic details on your own before I get 'round to it.

While I didn't get as much done 'round the house as I would have liked, I did get three pairs of jeans hemmed.

Not pictured: Three blistered fingers that got too close to the steam coming off the iron. Man, that baby gets h-o-t, hot...

Keeping pair #1 that some of you saw before, returning pair #2 as I really didn't like the color anyway, and wound up buying two pairs of Joe's at Nordstrom's Friday night (and RUNNING home to hem them quick before going out to dinner!!!!). Sunday Undies Jen is right, they are the most comfortable jeans ever!! I bought one pair the size I thought fit and one pair the size the sales lady thought fit. So if she's right and the pair I like gets super stretched out, fine, they will be my "fat day" jeans. And if I'm right and they still remain the size I feel comfortable in, fine, then I will wear her pick as my "slutty day" jeans. It's a win-win!

Now back to sorting through the 8 pounds of junk mail that has arrived in the past week. Oh the exciting life...

That is a serious gift right there- you are a lucky girl!

Just wanted to say thank you for all your recommendations in NYC. Carrie and I had a great time and ate some awesome food- all thanks to you!

We felt like we were finding the real New York... so fun.

Oh, mine strrrreeeeeeeeetch...
In the morning they fit. At the end of the day I can take 'em off without unbuttoning.

Lucky mitten recipient! Those are very cute.

Yeah new jeans, a most important wardrobe staple.

I love shamrock shakes with chocolate but not many Mickey Dees will make them.

Those mittens are beautiful!

I wish Joe's fit my ass/waist ratio. Alas.

My god those mittens are gorgeous!

I can't believe you were able to find 3 new pairs of jeans. It took me two hours to find one crappy pair that I'm not 100% happy with. Damn I hate clothes shopping. Thanks for the hemming reminder too.

Your hemming is impressive! It looks so not like hemming.

I am so glad they fit. Sorry I didn't do the tubular cast-on. I am lazy.

Beauty mitts, and the jeans look awesome. And I agree about Shamrock Shakes. Completely deelish.

Every woman needs slutty day clothes.

And those mittens are incredible.

love the mitts! I miss I had the patience and wherewithal to do fair isle knitting. I'm still scared. I also need to learn how to hem pants properly...especially because they only make jeans for people with super, duper long legs.
