So I don't generally do the bullshit goal setting thing.

My standard goal is to have sex again before I die, and if 2007 is the year that happens, that's all well and good.

But turns out, I am badly in need of a new pair of jeans. So my goal for January is to find a pair of jeans that fits and makes my butt look superduper cute. Anyone got any recommendations for me?

They can't be super show off your butt crack low cut. But neither can they be pants that come up to your bellybutton or (nails on a chalkboard) even higher the way some old school "female" clothing continues to be cut. Yeee-uck. I have generally been known to buy boy's jeans as they fall somewhere in the middle.

Bring on the suggestions, y'all, my butt needs all the help it can get.

Madly in love with my Levis Skinny jeans right now. Stretchy and comfy. An old favorite is the JCrew Boyfriend cut. Not sure if they still make that. Got a pair of Gap Skinny cut when I was between maternity and my old size (on the way back down) and really liked those too. Anything with stretch looks best on the butt I think, because no sagging that way.

Bear in mind these are the jeans that fit me and I'm shaped like a rectangle. (Or a fire plug, depending on whether you ask me or my same-shape mom. So we're all about the straight cuts and low rises.)

I think this is the longest comment I've ever left anyone. I guess jeans are the new muffins.

xoxo

PS When are you coming to visit?

Ahhh...jeans. I usually find some good ones at the Gap, but they have become a little more butt crack low of late than I really care for. So, no great ideas here, but I'll be watching your comments and look forward to seeing what you get.

My standards lately : Gap Low Rise Boot Cut (not Ultra Low). Jcrew Matchstick jeans, and the Skinny Cords (they have denim too) at Uniqlo, which probably isn't in Chicago yet so forget those.

Can I post a url?

Oh, apparently I cannot post a url. So instead of a handy dandy link, you'll have to run your own google on "oprah jeans" -- and get miss winfrey's jeans & bra intervention page.

I suck at finding jeans that fit me so much that I had to look at your comments.

You need to try on about 1000 pairs to find the ones that fit. My friends and sister all swear they can't find jeans that fit and after a day of shopping with me they have jeans baby. The secret is to make them try on every damn pair we come across.

That said, my sister has good luck with Womyn brand and I like lucky brand for moi.

Send me a picture of your rear view (in jeans) and I'll come up with some suggestions. Also any common problems (besides butt crack issues) with any brands in particular?

For me, fit-wise, Yanuk's are the best. But I'm not so into their styling lately. And of course, everyone is different.

Levi's 501s (men's) make every butt look good. At least, that's what I'm telling myself, since those are the only jeans I have...

Old Navy sells At Waist jeans online. Go for the boot cut:

Girl! Why didn't you come to a gay man for this?!?!

Diesel. Good god those italians know how to make a butt look like a piece of hot ass.

Go to their store. Tell them " I wanna a cute ass" and they will pick the exact pair.

YES...you will pay a little more...but won't it pay you back when some one notices your cute ass.

Gap does do the job...but Diesel and G-STAR and Miss Sixty and Blood and Glitter jeans will just make you go MMMMMMMMMM!!!
