NaBloPoMo 1: Swaps of Awesomeness.
So I thought I'd TRY to chime in here a bit more often and the best way to kick that off is surely to show you things other people made me! YAY!
So I made my friend Cathi this mug rug:
It's roughly 7 x 13. A mug rug is either a mini placemat or an enlarged coaster, take your pick. I really make it the way exactly the way one would make a large quilt. Except it's mini.
And in return she made me this gorgeous wonderful Different Lines shawl (for you Ravelers, FYI it's from a Veera design, one of my favorite designers!!).
I super love it not just because it's SO my colors and it's SO soft and awesome...
but also because it's closer to a skinny scarf shape than a big triangle shawl shape...
and that means I can just wrap and wrap and wrap it however I want.
I think I got the better part of that swap, didn't I? I'll be back tomorrow with more...from swaps that I have yet to fulfill my end of the swappage! YIKESABEE! But I'll get to them, I swear....

GAH I love your different lines! The thing about the shape and its wrapability really makes me want to cast on.
