Sew, sew, sew.
So while I did do some other things, I spent a large bit of yesterday finishing up the last 17 Ohio Stars for a quilt I'm working on.
Whereas I think I probably prefer working on quilts where the individual blocks are, say, 9 or 12 inches, this quilt is made up of lots and lots of 6-inch blocks. Now that the Stars are FINALLY done, I'm ready to start putting it all together.
There are five different types of blocks:
And they will be laid out like this:
I got three of the "big blocks" as I'm calling them done today.
And I got all the other "inner" blocks (the inside of the quilt has all the blocks that have both dark & light fabrics / the "outer" blocks are the darks only rail fences and 9-patches and I'll work on those later) laid out and then pinned together in sets so I don't misplace anything or randomly sew it into the wrong block. Not that there's really a wrong way to put these together. ;)
Well, time to put the quilting aside, maybe go take a walk, and I think I might bake some cookies this afternoon. I have the second of three state tests (required for certification) I am taking over the course of the M.Ed. tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. Ridiculous timing, right? Ah well.

Ooh, pretty! Innocent Crush?
I love this design! I think it will be really striking with the colors you're using.
Wow. WOW.
