Too bad about the microwave, as that is pretty cool...as far as sparks and stuff goes.
I always like to put different foodstuffs through machines, like sandwiches, pickles, crackers... I'm trying to think of things that will fit through that slot. Spaghetti would be good. You should try to make your own pasta using the shredder as a pasta cutter thingy.

Now I have visions of you, baking hot in a vest (but with chilly arms), experimenting with random shredding materials while eating most of your daily calorie allowance in one sandwich.
