Clearly Hershey has updated their Kiss messages.
Since that whole "do what you want to be doing the whole year on new year's" thing has never worked for me in the past, I decided just to treat it as a random midweek day off.

I slept late, ate cookies for two meals, finished a book, listened to tunes, and went to the movies. All the things I love to do, all in one day. Now today I'm finally going back to my secondary browsing location for the first time since...December 13. I hope I remember how things work!! Ha ha ha ha....
p.s. do you like my new header? :)

I just took almost the exact same picture last week. I'll email it to you when I'm home. Spooky!
Someday I'm going to figure out what is going on with those trees with the thorns. Are they part of the tree? Some weird growth on the tree?
Happy New Year!
love the new header, funky tree!
Oooh, prickly!
Pointy good.
Wow! Dramatic new header!
Cool header. Is that a honeysuckle tree?
I like the new header very much. Those Hershey's kiss messages are hilarious.
I like the one that just says "Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi!" I keep one in my notions bag. You know, for emergencies.
That tree's awesome. What is it?
I like the juxtaposition of the spiny tree and the round, friendly "girlreaction"
LOVE love love the new header! Where did you find such rocking kisses?
We had trees like that in my backyard when I was growing up. They scared me! But in a cool way. I need some cookies, too.
Cripes! Sorry to have missed so much -- glad you're back in Chicago safe and sound. Loving new header. Buying some of those kisses.
Welcome back to Chicago, where we are apparently testing the phrase "freeze your ass off." The tree is scaring me. Really. I've scrolled up 3x to have a look at it and it's creeping me out. I'm going to have to slink back to bloglines to read your blog in headerless safety.
Yeah those Kiss messages... the one I don't like is "kiss somebody". Don't tell me what to do, Hershey's Kisses!
Happy new year! Loved your xmas card.
My emailbox ate itself over the holidays and so my efforts to find your email address were characterized by rage and frustration, rather than success. Thus, I comment.
A) I am glad to hear you did not die on the highway
B) Happy New Year and
C) I finally had an hour to watch Dig a Hole, Fill It Up, Part II this weekend and Oh My God, this show mustcomeback. On the whole I am in sympathy with the writer's strike. Except for this. I totally knew the daughter was the missing girl and it was uncharacteristic of him to have not thought of it. Any young woman the right age should and connected to the situation should have had a big red flag for him.
Also, I love him. And the partner - and the old partner. The snake thing? Gorgeous.
Anyway - thanks for the tip on this one, wouldn't have turned it on without you.
nice new header~ Maybe in 2008 i'll learn how to make one...
