I did, and didn't do, stuff.

I cooked with intention.

"Tava" or cypriot-baked lamb & potatoes with cumin & tomatoes (and red onions) from Tessa Kiros' "Falling Cloudberries" cookbook. Yummy.

I didn't knead.

Mine came out a bit flatter than most due, I think, to losing large amounts of dough to each "transition" in the recipe.

I finished.

The third and fourth socks finally make the pair. Picot edges, sherman heels, regular decrease toes. A thick warm pair of wool socks to start the summer with. Great.

And now back to watching Buffy as I was over the weekend as well (here and here). Posting to the TV blog these days is like felling trees in a forest. Or dropping pebbles into a deep deep well.

Ciao!

Oh, Buffy. I think that might have to be my next major Netflix addiction, now that I finished Six Feet Under. My old roommate and I started watching them all together, but ran out of steam after Season 3.

Oh man, now my stomach is growling.

Loving that picot edge- I need more picot in my life.

That looks ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Just like the food I will be eating in Turkey in one month's time - can't wait! And my socks look great on you!

Yay for delicious food, finally finished socks, and the best TV of all. I recently did the whole Buffy seven seasons over again, and you're making me want to watch it yet again.

Doh you remind me i need to eat lunch, looks delish! And congrats on the socks, they are purty. Oh, and it is still cold enough here to where them, wah.

Hey, that lamb looks incredible! I tried that No Knead bread too and found it to be a huge pain the ass. It's good, but I'd rather knead. Actually, I live in northern CA and good bread is available 100 yards from my house with no effort whatsoever.

Yeah! Those socks are done! I know we started those at NYs&W right? Very pretty.

Everything looks so tasty--especially the socks! :)

The weather is still in the 30s and 40s here, so I'm still wearing the wool socks. Lame.

Your cooking looks better than mine. I won't even get started on my stitching skills which are null.

That lamb dish looks scrumptious! I only wish you could somehow virutally send me real leftovers.

I'm so impressed you did the no-knead bread. I have been reading about it forever but can't get up the courage. And the lamb looks SO GOOD!!!

ooo...the lamb and veggies looks so good! As for your bread being flat, I seem to still have that problem, even though I've figured out how to get (most of) the dough in the pot. Instead of rising up a lot of times, it seems to rise outward. You know, like a growth spurt in the wrong direction...

Can I come over and eat with you? Yum!
I've got to get that cookbook.

The socks are great too.
