Hot Damn, if that isn't snow out my window, I'll be a monkey's uncle.

Yes, it's snowing in Chicago on October 12th. This has only happened 10 times since they've been keeping track (many years but cannot remember EXACTLY how many).

It's called Global Fucking Warming People. It's not just about warmth, it's about inconsistent unpredictable unseasonable weather.

I love snow but I need this sore throat feverish achy shit to go away so I can go out and play.

And are there any Jo Sharp fans out there?

I'm looking for some patterns that all happen to be in Jo Sharp books -- if you own Jo Sharp Knit 1, or Jo Sharp Book 9 Saturday, or Jo Sharp Book 8 Eclectic, or Contemporary Knitting by Jo Sharp, can you send me an e-mail? Or leave a comment w/ your e-mail and I'll contact you? Merci beaucoup, mes amies.

Thursday update, à la Super Eggplant

Making: A teeny tiny wee bit o' progress on the first Strippers of the Orient quilt. Hoping to have it basted by week-end's end.

Eating: Not much. Sore throat doesn't want food.

Reading: Finishing up K.C. Cole's "Mind Over Matter, Conversations with the Cosmos" so I can send it back to my Dad with some other items that are waiting to be mailed.

Watching: TIVO of all last week's episodes.

Listening: New albums by Beck, Hold Steady, Jet, Decemberists, and checking out Memphis, a band "related" to Stars, Broken Social Scene and Metric (I'll have more to say on that later).

Wanting: To quit my job. Any ideas?

Current Goal: Get well. Sleep.

You're shitting me. It's pretty warm here today. Weird.

It seems my work library has every single Jo Sharp book except the ones you want. Sorry!

I have Eclectic. You want I should bring to Rhinebeck, or do you want it sooner?

I want it to get colder here. If that means snow, so be it.

SNOW! Can you believe I'm jealous? Don't worry, in January I'll be glad my ass hasn't frozen off, but I always love the first day of snow.

Job ideas - um, artist? (It always sounds like such a great idea, except for that whole practicality thing.)

I have a couple Jo Sharp Books, but not those.

What is this "snow" you're speaking of? I'm not familiar with it... :)

If you really truly hate your job, can you start looking around? You wanna move to SF or LA? I know you do...

Somebody's super busy.

There's no mention of knitting here except for the books. I've had a crush on Saturday forever. Do you knit anymore?

(move back to NYC)

I just love all the people who say when it's cold: This is globabl warming? What happened to global warming? Har har har.

I really really really want to choke those people.

Oh yeah, I have the Saturday book. You can borrow it if you want. Are you going to make the knitted shorts? Har har har.
