Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. Murakami is a genius.

What Jenn said. If it wasn't on the list I was going to vote for it as a write-in candidate.

Ditto, Murakami's books are usually great.

But Beyond Black is very good too! Falls apart a little bit in the middle, but that's OK.

I've only read Helprin's 'Memoir From Antproof Case', which was very good, so I expect his other ones are good too.

Thta's not helping much, is it?

I just finished Murakami's Wild Sheep Chase, and loved it. Please read Wind-Up Bird Chronicles, and then we can swap. K? Cause it's all about me. And you too, of course.

Wind-Up Bird Chronicle since I've had it on the "to-read" shelf for about a year and would like to hear your comments. But warn me if you have spoilers!

:)

The wind-up bird chronicles was the best book I have read in ages!

Posted by: Sarah at September 20, 2006 11:33 AM

The Keep, by Jennifer Egan because it is on my list and I have to know what you think of it!

Posted by: Rebecca at September 20, 2006 12:26 PM

I started Freddy and Fredericka, but couldn't really get into it. But if you read it, let me know how it is!

Murakami, totally! I love all his books.

Anything by Murakami!

Wind-Up Bird. Absolutely.

(Just found you via supereggplant.)

I'd vote for A Winter's Tale, being one of the three or four people on the planet who don't like Murakami.
