Thursday Update, à la Super Eggplant.

Making: A tiny bit of quilting progress, an even tinier bit of knitting progress, and LOTS of progress lying on the couch doing nothing.

Eating: Every low-calorie rich-tasting chocolate thing I can get my hands on. Original fudgesicles = 60 calories for one. 100-calorie Jello chocolate pudding. 270-calorie 6-pack of Oreos on a day when I was careful enough with other calorie intake that I could eat these...only to get a hive on my cheek immediately after eating them!

Reading: "The Whole World Over" wasn't thrilling me so I've set it aside; I'll try coming back to it in a few weeks. Instead "Hocus Pocus" by Kurt Vonnegut and Laurie Colwin's short-romantic-story collection "The Lone Pilgrim." (I updated the readin' page today. If this post isn't enough for ya.)

Watching: Seasons 1 and 2 of Rescue Me on DVD (anyone want a copy of Season 2? I accidentally have two) and Season 3 on TV. Crossing my fingers for an Uli victory on Project Runway.

Listening: Tapes 'n Tapes, Kid Creole, and my three favorite bands of the summer, all beginning with G: Gomez "How We Operate", Golden Smog "Another Fine Day, and Gnarls Barkley "St. Elsewhere."

Wanting: Vacation. Time off. Naptime. Quiet time. Reading time. Quilting time. TIME.

Current Goal: Finish pressing/cutting mystery quilt for clue #1 (uh oh, I think clue #4 just came in the mail today!!!) - I'm about 1/5 of the way done so far. And finish swatching for my crazy new sweater - I'm about 1/3 of the way done with that. Also get Dad's bday present in the mail (hello Aug 20) and the knitting for the Internet baby shower...

I'm eating Schwan's Chocolate Malt Push-Ems: reduced fat ice cream at 90 calories per serving. Although, when you eat three, that's probably more than 90 calories.

Probably.

What's an internet baby shower? Why would one knit for it? Why!!!??? Mmmm, fudgesicles. Yum-mee.

I made chocolate sorbet, which is low in calories since it uses cocoa powder. But it's oh-so-yummy rich tasting, and perfectly fixes (most) chocolate cravings.

My favorite thing about my diet (that I am NOT being too good at following faithfully) is a regular midmorning snack of 1 t. chocolate chips, 1 t. walnuts and 1 t. raisins. Not sure of the caloric content, but it must be low or they wouldn't allow it. It seems teeny when you're putting it together, but it's so satisfying and stays with you. Now if I'd just stop bingeing on other crap every time I'm stressed -- which is ALL THE TIME. Ergh.

I see Silvia got here first with the "mmm, fudgsicles" comment. sigh.

I have plenty of fudgsicles in the freezer, if you ever want to vacation in CT. :)

And there are ice cream sandwiches too- even the regular ones aren't too bad, and they have all of those other versions as well. Maybe not chocolate enough though.

So, TV Oracle. I've missed most of Project Runway Season 3. Should I just wait until it comes out on DVD at this point? I've never seen any of Season 2, so maybe I'll watch that first.

Really like Project Runway....
