I made some blocks for Cathy.
Then I made some blocks for me!
When the final quilt comes together (someday far down the road), half will have be positioned that way and half will be positioned this way:
I bought all the fabrics I'm using there in Australia actually although they are British (all the tiny triangles that don't match each other are Liberty!) and Japanese fabrics (the biggest triangles and the contrasty tiny ones) and a Moda (the medium triangles that look like patchwork). I'm not totally sure how big it will be / some of the fabrics I may run out of, but I have some other possibilities to take their place later on. We shall see.
First, however, I need to a) quilt the mystery quilt, b) once the pins are out of that, I can baste (and then quilt) the nesty 9-patch. And after that c) I think I'm going to work on my Bee quilt, remaking some blocks that arrived in bad shape or weren't what I asked for, making some spacer blocks, and getting that together. But of course that's two (a, b) quilted quilts away. So we'll see when that happens!!

You are such a sweetheart making blocks for other bees! I love the centers you did on the friendship stars.
Sorry to hear that your own bee blocks will require some labor before you can use them...
I love the blocks you did for Cathy. Silly me, can't think outside the box, and would have never thought to have adapted the Friendship Square like you have. They're perfect.
Also, your fancypants fabric quilt is going to look fantastic with all those light colored prints. I can't wait to see it finished so hurry up. :-)
beautiful. all of them.
I can't wait to go home and start sewing!!
