Monday news.
Item #1:
Someone just sent me the fucking most gorgeous quilt she made last year. What the hell is she thinking? (I stole this picture from her. I will keep her anonymous *coughAmandaJeancoughcough* to protect her from a zillion people begging her to make them quilts.)

(It's big. Roughly 80x72.)
Item #2:
I just grew a new form of mold I've never seen before in my humidifier. Anyone dying of a mystery illness that wants to try this stuff out for a cure?
Item #3:
The IRS just sent me a bill for $1,453 that I apparently underpaid when I used Turbotax for the year 2007 and (still) sent them a check for $3,351 (thanks to my former employers for not taxing me correctly and fucking me over on that one). (So I actually owed $5,794 rather than $3,351???? Seriously, how wrong were they taxing me that year, dicks. Again, thank you motherfucking assholes I used to work for, you continue to suck in so many ways.)
Seriously I really don't care about paying taxes but I'd really prefer not to have to pay three years from now if I (*coughviaTurbotaxcough*) fuck them up again on my own this year. Especially considering there's a high possibility that three years from now I won't have any income. Does someone want to do them for me?

holy cow. that is a beautiful quilt.
and holy effin' cow on the tax bill.
wow that is a GORGEOUS quilt. so awesome that your friend sent it to you!
sorry about the taxes. you think your previous employers would've not f*cked that up. asshats.
Wow! I can't believe she was able to part with that! It's gorgeous.
Uh, isn't there some Turbo Tax guarantee if they f up, or was it your f up? Scary shite. Maybe you need a CPA (you know I typed spa in first - that's an idea too).
Ok, that's the quilt that makes me want to learn how to quilt because I WANT ONE NOW. And it looks like it's something I could do. It's probably really really complicated.
Sounds like it wasn't TurboTax's fault, though, but your former employer for fucking the form up, yeah? Something similar happened to me a few years ago, got a bill for I don't want to tell you how much but it was a lot more than the figure you named, but that was because *I* fucked up. Granted, TT didn't catch it -- or maybe they did I was still all, "nah, it's fine."
I'll probably use TT this year simply because it's the cheapest option I have.
We're still haunted by 2007 taxes, it was a bad (bad) year for the IRS. We're still paying them, it's sucks.
We used to use TT, then switched to H&R, which was (believe it or not) worse. You pay more, and most of the people there don't have an effing clue.
Hire a "real" accountant. It will be the BEST money you spend. Seriously. I don't say that lightly cause it's not cheap, but it will save you in the long run. If you're in Texas, I've got a guy. :-)
Enough unsolicited advice.
That is the most beautiful quilt, I think, I've ever seen.
"used" to work for? what did I miss?
Nice quilt!
Wow! That quilt is be-yoooou-tiful! Sucks about the taxes - that is always my fear!
Worlds are intersecting. You and Amanda Jean are friends, huh? Blogging freaks me out. Way to score on that awesome quilt.
I think I just short-circuited my keyboard from drooling on it. Oh My Word! I lurve it!
