Whirlwind week and a half.

First there was Thursday Thanksgiving in Milwaukee, Friday Michelle visit and Saturday Nephew Time.

And then. Then I went on Staycation! For a week! YAY!!

365.340

Things I did:

  • Left the house twice in seven days.
  • Wore in a new pair of pajama pants.
  • Ate a box of Mallomars.
  • Found a new favorite beer.
  • Quilted the latest baby gift quilt, sewed the binding to the front. (Just the blind stitching to go.)
  • Pieced together Kysa's Friendship Star top (#2 of 2), quilted it and sewed the binding to the front. (Just the blind stitching to go.)
  • Made a hat. (I also started some "Toasties" from the same yarn but they may wind up being full fledged mittens because really what use are wrist warmers to me in Chicago in the winter? NO USE.)
  • Finished a sock. Started another.
  • Got more done on the useless scarf. (Otherwise known round here as the boy scarf for a boy who doesn't exist and wouldn't be gettin a scarf even if he did.)
  • Had dinner with the Huffencoopers.
  • (Re)watched seasons 1, 2 and 2.5 of BStarG (and into season 3). I didn't think I was going to have time to rewatch before January (I was wrong).
  • Had a Back to the Future marathon viewing. HILL VALLEY PRESERVATION SOCIETY! (wink wink, C&C)
  • Made muffins.
  • Read two books and started another.
  • Played slip and slide in the foyer.
  • Washed and dried fabrics for the next quilt.

And now back to real life.

That does sound awesome! I ate half a box of Mallomars between Friday night and Sunday afternoon, but clearly I am no match for staycation. I will work on it.

I hope re-entry isn't too hard today. I'm entering a shut-in period myself, but it's school-related. BAH.

I got exhausted just reading of your achievements. You deserve
to be paid for this.

You were productive on your staycation!

Oh my gosh, staycation sounds like the best thing ever. I thought I was the only person who wanted to do stuff like that during vacation. Maybe I just hang out with an overly active crowd!

Wow. You are a machine! That is a crapload of stuff to get done on staycation. If only I could accomplish a teeny tiny fraction of that over my weekends!

Dude. that sounds like the best staycation EVAR. I am so jealous of the BSG re-watching - I can't get Jacob into it. Dammit.

Also, HVPS!

you are wicked good at accomplishing stuff!

you put me to shame with all that activity while on staycation (my new fave buzz word btw). but i LOVE productivity.

Ooooh... nut brown beer is good. I'm a big fan of Sam Smith's. I'll have to hunt your new favorite one down. Yay for staycations.

I CAN see a new banner, but unfortunately I can't comment on it, so will comment on you on the couch in your pjs instead.

Yay winter! (I wish we got snow in Melbourne. I'm so jealous).

So your bleepin "staycation" is why you haven't texted me back? Uh huh. I see. Whatever.

I like the new banner, dude.
