Stop.Fucking.Asking.About.My.Weekend.
Here's a clue: people who are SINGLE don't usually have anything to do on the holidays!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck, is that not obvious by the fact that everyone else is with their PARTNER or their CHILDREN?
Also: I was at the secondary browsing location for EIGHT blisteringly awful hours on Sunday with many, many, many problems caused by stupid, stupid, stupid people.
I did go help pack the McCain kitchen in preparation for the move into the Big House as I plan to call it.
Also I baked a cake, but it sucked ass. Mary and Clark claim to have liked it but you should never try a NEW recipe out on NICE people because you will not get the truth.
That is all.

I like the new banner!
and also, I read your post title out loud to Jacob and it made him giggle.
sorry about the suckiness of the people at the SBL.
Agreed, the weekend pretty much sucked.
Well, I'm sorry about the secondary browsing location shenanigans, but dude, I spent the 4th with my parents. I know you have those.
THANK YOU...why is it every holiday its the same thing!? My mom actually called my little sister and said "call your sister, she's lonely" so she did. I told her I'm not lonely, I'm ALONE, there's a big difference!
CCB: Anytime I make Jacob giggle, I know I have achieved my goal.
Claudia: Agreed. Sorry dude :(
Strizz: Your parents...AND your husband, right? Right? Yeah, they're a (minimum) 12-hour drive away, that doesn't work for one day holidays! Only if I have a week off. Besides, at my age, spending EVERY holiday with my parents? Come on now, that's worse than just NOT HAVING ONE!!
Jenni: I feel your ALONEness girl. :)
I'm sitting at a table (on my laptop) with two other people (on their laptops) and your read-aloud post title got another laugh. So, yay for being funny about your pain. 'cause that makes you feel better, right?
your header made me laugh. I can so relate but let me tell you a secret I discovered this week-end. Do you know the best day to go out and eat. The 4th of July cause everyone else is out with there family grilling at the beach. I went to macaroni grill on the 4th and had the best service and hot food. Friday night 6:30 no waiting at all I walked right in was seated and had a great meal. Don't tell to many people don't want to loose my princess treatment.
Tell me about it. I spent the weekend with a paint roller (I did have lunch with a friend and bought a chair for the new crafting region). But no, I did not go to the fireworks. It was fun though, I LIKE painting my house. All about definitions, basically.
I should come here more often, I always get a couple of smiles either reading or checking out new photos. I know what you mean about being single on holidays. I have kids, so that is how I spent my weekend, but if it weren't for them I would have been stopping by a few tame parties that my friends were having.
OH MY GOODNESS! How I hate that head-tilt, uncomprehending "baroo?" that people give you when you say you have NO plans for some holiday weekend.
I hate even more the immediate "Oh you poor thing" reaction. No, actually, I was not "poor" at all. I got a buttload of work done, then I went home and sat on the sofa and watched tv and knitted. Don't get to do that for more than 15 minutes most days so it's a real treat to be able to just veg out.
Besides...if they have a party and don't invite me, they don't get to pity me for not having "plans." It sucks trying to make plans as a single person because nearly every darn thing in the town where I live presupposes you have a family, or at least a spouse. I don't like feeling like the Weird Solo Person at things, so I just don't go.
