Happy Birthday, Baby.
So my boyfriend celebrated his birthday yesterday by going on Martha and learning how to make a bed, which I TIVOed of course. Wow, what a suckass show that is. I had no idea!
He looked adorable (bien sur) even in a Hanes t-shirt he bought at Duane Reader after the airlines lost his luggage. References to the F thing were few, thank goodness, along with the comment that they don't mess up the bed because "they're good Catholic kids."
Hellooooooo, clearly he is so dating the wrong girl!
In other boyfriend news, Johnny Utah was in last week's US weekly looking scruffy as all get out. I understand the whole "I'm not going to look good ALL THE TIME just because of stupid stalker paparazzi" stance. But does he not understand that this is my only chance to see him between movies? I look good for him ALL THE TIME, it's not my fault he doesn't know about it!

I made the mistake of watching Martha's show one day. Shudder. I actually like Martha, but I wish she would stop pretending to display human emotions and/or interest in other human beings.

So true about Martha! It only serves to make her appear scarier. She's a talented android, but an android nonetheless, and androids shouldn't make jokes.

see, now i don't think you can judge martha on the basis of just one show. if you watch her over the course of a few weeks, it's not as weird. what i think i love most is that she's not perfect. she's awkward, and messes up and spills stuff on herself (when they cook with chocolate she wears dark brown or black for a reason). it's actually quite refreshing. or else maybe i've fallen under her spell.
