Blown Away.

Saw both Walk the Line and Pride and Prejudice today.

Thought both were really, REALLY well done. P&P may not have had Colin Firth, but it was beautifully filmed, some amazing scenery, and great performances from all the major players. WtL was completely breathtaking. The acting. The singing. The moments. *JOAQUIN*.

Lovely renditions of two very intense romances.

Because really, what would it be worth, if he DIDN'T want you THAT MUCH.

May have been more than this sad, lonely girl can handle right now.

No "grow a boyfriend" toy can mend these ills.

I remain, heartbroken as always, sincerely, Duff.

Ohhhh, Duff. I'm sorry to hear you talk like that. Glad for the recommendations, but sorry to hear you sad. My Abigail gave me the recommendation of Jarhead late last night. So I've got more movies to see than I can practically handle! I wish I could do something to cheer you up.

Hmmm, you are indeed on sensory overload and maybe pms-ing? Maybe see some Wallace and Grommit next, huh. That one just wanted to make me eat veggies.

God, I HATE that about romantic movies...They way they slam your head against the wall reminding you about your OWN fucked-up/lack-of-a lovelife. They make you happy and totally sad at the same time. it SUCKS. Still, I totally wanna see BOTH of those.

Dude, the reason you, me and more than half the women I know are alone is because our we're too f-ing smart! I don't know crap about Maureen Dowd, no interest in reading her. BUT, Sarah Bonar's review of her book in the LA Times was HYSTERICAL! You need some comic relief. Go check it out either from the link on my blog or here.

No idea if that worked, but trust me, it will give you perspective. Now let's all go out and get stupid!

Doesn't need to be PMS. Happens with guys too. I was flipping back and forth between the USC game and Serendipity last night. Wasn't planning on watching that movie, but I got sucked in. What really gets me is when I realize that all it takes is *one freaking person* to change the situation - not 500, 50, or 10, but just one. With a few billion women out there, you'd think it wouldn't be a problem.

Aww. It's this damn season change. It does it to me EVERY YEAR and every year I forget it's coming and then suddenly I'm bombarded with desire for cuddling and fireplaces and crap. It doesn't help that all the epic Oscar romances coincide.

That Maureen Dowd article, What's a Modern Girl To Do?, which I guess must be a preview of her book, scared the everloving crap out of me.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, at least you got to go see the movies! With the little shrute around now, can't go. We used to go see at least one movie a week! Now we just add them to the Netflix queue every Friday instead. Sad, sad.

Yes, but what if you could grow your own Joaquin?

Sometimes, when I am especially annoyed at my husband and I examine my motives closely, I realize it's because I wish he were more like Mr. Darcy: rich, capable in a crisis, and skilled at running an estate.

Are you going to grow the toy though? I'd really like to see that! I doubt he'd be as cuddly as a teddy bear though. I want to see P&P, even though I really don't like Keira, she seems really wooden, but I loved the older one so I need to see if it does it as well.

I loved Pride & Prejudice, too. :)
