Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! - I'm not sure about this one yet; My Morning Jacket - which I like, but it's getting soooo hyped, and I'm not feeling the NEED to listen to it every single second as I feel I should, from the hype; The Magic Numbers - it took forever for iTunes to get this album and I wasn't sure the single really did it for me, but I really like the album, it's happy fun music; Matt Nathanson - I probably didn't need another melancholy boy in my life, but damn I love this album; Josh Joplin Group - I like this. But on a couple songs, he sounds so much like Michael Stipe that it loses my ability to concentrate on him and makes me want to hear "Automatic for the People" instead; Okkervil River - thanks to Michael Schaub on Bookslut, I am really digging this band, although I think the album I bought isn't the most current, and bonus they are coming to Chicago soon altho I'm not sure I can go; and hometown-Chicago-group Fall Out Boy - I would say if you like Green Day, you should check these "kids" out, and yes I mean "kids" literally as two of them are 17 and still live at home! Too cute! and good music to boot.
Also enjoying new stuff by old peeps: such as "Circles" off the new Bob Mould album, what a great fucking song.
If you're looking for a new mix tape, they've put out soundtracks for both Veronica Mars and Grey's Anatomy (is it any coincidence that these are BY FAR my two favorite TV shows right now? I think not!) and they're both pretty good. (And if you're insane like me, you may perhaps enjoy the Las Vegas soundtrack as well.)

Exact same reaction to Josh Joplin. The first time I heard Camera One, I was like, "when did REM put out new stuff?" But I really like the whole CD.
