Miracles do happen!

I think I really threw my boss for a loop this morning when the 6 a.m. version of me was chatty and could even have been referred to as cheerful. Eh?

I cite two reasons for this:
1) When my alarm(s) starting going off at 4:30 this morning...(wait for it)...I GOT UP. I leapt out of bed, shuffled into the bathroom and started my shower. Say what? Obviously this boded well for the beginning of my day. Not perhaps so well for my neighbors, as I was seriously ensconsed in said shower when alarm #3 started going off, and when alarm #1's snooze came back on. Oops! Sorry!

This is after a night where I didn't get home from work until 9:45, and then promptly settled in for both Jon Stewart AND Stephen Colbert, whose new show, by the by, is the fucking funniest thing on TV right now.

2) Yesterday I (purposely) left the iPod at home (don't ask), so all I had to listen to (over, and over, and over) was the acoustic version of Baby Got Back, so kindly linked to by Miss Rachael (it's the first "THIS" in that post).

First thing I did when I arrived this morning? Pressed play (again)! Girl, I can't tell you how happy you made me. There is something about hearing "ooooo, rumpelsmoothskin" in that pretty, pretty voice that puts a huge grin on my face. As I press repeat again, and again, and again, I imagine my (work) neighbors are perhaps not enjoying this as much as I am.

Conclusion = I'm happy. And driving (all) my (various types of) neighbors completely stark-raving mad.

(I'm also clearly (parenthetically) delirious!!)

Holy FUCK that's funny. Why didn't I click on that link from Rachael's site? Must've been in a hurry then. But DUDE, I will never hear "Leaving on a Jet Plane" again without thinking of this.

This is awesome! It belongs right up there with Hendrix's version of "All Along the Watchtower" and Richard Thompson's version of "Oops! I Did it Again" as one of the best covers ever!
