Divergence of Opinion.
My dad says Elizabethtown sucked. "...the worst movie either Orlando Bloom or Kirsten Dunst has ever made." "Alec Baldwin was really funny, but he's only in the first 5 minutes of the movie and it's all downhill from there." My dad loves Cameron Crowe so I was very surprised.
My mom, however, liked it & would recommend it.
Slight dichotomy there.
Neither one of them liked the ending. And my dad said that while he understands Kirsten's character is supposed to be quirky or funny or something, she came across as certifiably insane and if he were Orlando's character he would rip up her cell # and run away as fast as he could.
So, should I spend $10 to see it? Or not? Oh, the traumatic decisions I face in life.

Go see Wallace & Gromit in stead. Great movie, no sappiness at all. And lots of funny-cute clay rabbits!

I say go, if only to watch Orlando Bloom for over an hour.

I've totally been wanting to see that. I hope I agree with your mom.

See, I hate both of them (OB and KD- hee, I said OB), but was glad that Orlando is finally playing a contemporary. I'm curious to see it, but I'm selective about what I'll see in theaters, so it's definitely a PPV for me.

kirsten dunst bugs me -- she bugged me before but ever since she placed the snot in mona lisa smiles i've had it out for her.

Ah, go see it. What do you have to lose? You spend a whole lot more than $10 this weekend. If I were there, I'd go see it with you.
I'm actually kind of intrigued by this movie anyway. So, how about this... You go see it, tell us if you like it or not.

Well, I know little to nothing about this movie, but I say see it. The fact that you have to ask means you are at least interested. Might as well! Maybe I'll see that this weekend...

Cool new digs! My vote would be to skip E-town, although I agree that watching Orlando Bloom play a 21st-century human male could be very treatful.

Orlando Bloom cud be worth watching ..Kirsten dunst is just one of those I don't get actresses .. maybe she shud have stayed a cheerleader .. if it were me I'd probably skip it and tell u the same.. but then again being that u wrote this on the 20th and it's now the 26th maybe u've seen it already .. if u have don't 4get 2 report!!!
