When new songs make you think of old. Or of Barry Gibb, that too.

So turns out I'm not really a fan of Feist. I really thought I would be, but I think the album's kinda blah (sorry Indi Amy).

However, that said, I really love her cover of "Inside and Out." But why, you ask? But do you not love the BeeGees, I reply? Did you not think Barry Gibb, he of the lion mane, was just oh so hot when you were...12? 15? Something like that? Good lord, that's... that's at least 22 years ago (25 if we're thinking I was 12). How the fuck did I get to be this old?

I'm the girl who loves you inside and out,
Backwards and forwards with my heart hanging out.
I love no other way,
What're we gonna do if we lose that fire...

Does that not ring your BeeGee bells? On my next album, I believe I will include a BeeGee cover myself.

Barry, Barry, Barry... So NOT the type of boy I am attracted to in adulthood. But at the time, he seemed so much hotter to me than his virginal-seeming (yet drug-addicted, Victoria Principal-loving) little brother.

Ah, Nostalgia.

If you want, I can write the BeeGees cover for your next album. All the songs I imagine writing should really be a BeeGees covers. We can bill it like this:

_______ by Carolyn which is really by the BeeGees which Megan wants to pretend she wrote.

(and I like the Mushaboom song. That's the only one I know, though)

I was obsessed with the Bee Gees when I was 12. I knew every bit of trivia about them and yes, I loved Barry the most. I think they were one of the first big concerts I saw as well.

I still love the Bee Gees or the Pee Gees (there is no B in the Samoan language) or the Gee Pees (s/times we thought we were so kool) .. u had to be growing up with a Samoan sense of humour .. it's a good thing my teachers loved them 2 and played them on guitar!!! ..

we learnt all their old Songs pre Saturday Night Fever @ School .. did our teachers care 2 understand the lyric's of what we were singing .. "smile and everlasting smile a smile will bring u near 2 me, and I will give u all my love, I'm here if u shud call 2 me .. " is that like I'll shag u if u'll just smile 4 me .. who cares it's still one of my fave Pee Gees song ;) .. u shud have seen our actions .. we thought we were the bomb (pomp) .. ah nostalgia ..
